Gut Absorption Panel

If your gut isn't absorbing nutrients well, nothing else will fully work.

from $165

What this test is

Poor absorption can undermine hair, skin and nail treatment even when your diet is good. This panel checks how well your gut is absorbing the nutrients that matter most, combining a blood sample with an at-home stool collection kit.

Is this test for you?

  • Deficiencies keep coming back despite supplementing
  • You have digestive symptoms alongside hair, skin or nail concerns
  • You want to check gut absorption before starting a nutrient protocol

What we test

Ferritin

Iron absorption is one of the first things affected by poor gut health.

Vitamin B12

Depends heavily on healthy gut absorption.

Vitamin D

Fat-soluble and dependent on gut function to absorb properly.

Zonulin

A marker of gut barrier function.

Calprotectin

A marker of inflammation in the gut lining.

How you take this test

Choose whichever fits your schedule. Either way, your sample goes to the same accredited lab and is read by a clinician against optimal (not just "normal") ranges.

At home Convenient

A blood micro-sample kit and an at-home stool collection kit are both mailed to you, with simple instructions for each. The stool sample is always collected at home.

Results and your clinician report in 3–5 business days

In clinic Assisted

Your blood sample is taken by a phlebotomist at a partner clinic; the stool portion is still collected at home using the kit provided, then posted back.

Results and your clinician report in 3–5 business days

This panel combines a blood sample with an at-home stool collection kit — the stool portion is always done at home, even if you choose the in-clinic option for your blood draw.

After your results

A clinician reads every marker against your age, symptoms and goals, then writes a plain-language report with a protocol you can act on. If treatment is recommended, your results travel with you to a certified Aesthetics BioCare provider, so nothing needs re-explaining.
